How to Borrow Equipment
Visit the Front Desk at Lakeshore Hotel Hualien Taroko – Tranquil (1F) → Register → Collect equipment → Enjoy your playtime!
A fun paddle game designed for both left- and right-handed players, with a glove-like grip for better control.
How to Play: Choose a comfortable distance, keep the shuttle in the air without letting it drop, and increase your speed for the ultimate rally.
Recommended Age: 10 years and above
Option 1: Classic inflatable volleyball made from natural materials for a comfortable grip, ideal for casual rallies on the lawn.
How to Play: Keep the ball in the air and enjoy a lighthearted game in the open space.
Recommended Age: 6 years and above
Option 2: Add a four-square volleyball net for an upgraded, competitive match — perfect for two teams of two.
Rules:
Players: 2 per team, 4 total
Serve: The ball must cross the net into the opposing court
Touches: Maximum of 3 touches per team, including the serve
Scoring: Points are awarded when the ball lands in the opponent’s court or when the opponent commits a fault
Rotation: Switch sides after each point for fairness
Winning: Best of three or five sets

Eligibility: Available to in-house guests and dining patrons of Lakeshore Hotel Hualien Taroko – Tranquil, Serenity, and Moments.
Location Use: All equipment must remain within Prairie Square and may not be taken off-site.
Safety: Follow safety instructions at all times. During weekends or peak times, each item may be used for up to 60 minutes; extensions require re-registration at the front desk.
Personal Belongings: Prairie Square is a public area. Please keep personal items secure; the hotel is not responsible for loss or damage.
Damages: Any damage, theft, or intentional destruction of equipment will be charged at the listed replacement cost.
Capacity: The recommended maximum capacity for all facilities is 30 people at one time.
Amendments: The hotel reserves the right to amend or update these guidelines without prior notice.
