2024 Glimmering Stars and Love Passed Down
2024 Yanbo Sustainable Seafood Table - Chef Charity Cooking Program
Utilizing the professional skills of the chefs at Yanbo Restaurant, we are launching an annual charity cooking event centered around the sustainable development goal of 【SDG2 Zero Hunger】! We hope to spread love to every corner through delicious food.
In 2024, the Yanbo Group launched the "Waves and Stars: Culinary Love Passed On" charity cooking initiative, which will carry out a series of sustainable seafood dining activities in rural areas of Hsinchu, Tainan, Yilan, and Hualien.
To deepen the annual marine sustainability goals, we are conducting in-depth cooperation with the Taiwan Ocean Conservation and Fisheries Sustainability Foundation (referred to as the Ocean Fisheries Foundation). This year, the charity cooking events will specifically use the sustainable seafood species "mackerel" and "knife fish" certified by the Ocean Fisheries Foundation's Gold and Silver Level Marine Heart Ecological Label as the theme for the dishes. We will invite instructors to join us at rural children's welfare bases, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals SDG2 to end hunger and SDG14 for sustainable oceans and conservation, to provide the children with nutritional needs and plant the seeds of ocean conservation in their hearts.

Hsinchu: Boyo Foundation - Zhudong Center

Tainan: Southern Tainan Family Support Center - Kunxi Bay Base

Yilan: Yilan Family Support Center - Nanfangao Community Base

Hualien: Hualien New City Practice Piece Cultural and Educational Association

Taiwan is surrounded by the sea, and marine sustainability is an inseparable environmental issue for us. In order to help children understand fish and seafood culture, instructors from the Marine Fisheries Foundation bring lively and interesting marine conservation knowledge to children, starting with understanding the origin and source of fish, and prioritizing local and seasonal seafood. It is hoped that children will not only taste seafood but also respect and care for marine ecology.

During the summer vacation, we hope that children can learn to prepare meals for themselves and enhance their self-care abilities. Therefore, the chefs personally teach the children how to make simple and delicious dishes at home. Not only is it fun and interesting, but the dishes made by their own hands also taste better!

Yilan venue:Tomato Sauce Mackerel Mini Burger, Lanyang Double Fresh Pocket Pizza

The chefs of the Yanbo Group carefully designed a sustainable seafood menu using locally sourced mackerel and knife fish with a lower carbon footprint, skillfully incorporating these ingredients into regional specialties, bringing a delicious sustainable ocean feast to children in remote areas. Seeing the satisfied smiles of the children, the chefs also gained a lot of energy!
